| Personal History | Yang always an ambitious child. She worked hard and studied harder, lest she shame her parents. Poor grades could have relegated herself to careers that had no potential or even worse, to the point where she would have to sell herself to live. Yang wanted no part of that life. In school, it was soon discovered that Yang had a talent for medicine and the sciences. So, when she applied to Starfleet, it was anyone's guess as to which direction she might head. Yang eventually settled on science, figuring that saving lives was much less important than advancing her career. After all, if one was busy saving lives, would not one always be riding another coat tails? That was no way to live. It was better to blaze her own trail, which she has successfully done in Starfleet. Yang specializes in chemistry. Though nobody has been able to trace deaths directly to her, not that anyone would care much, there has never been any evidence traceable back to her. She's careful about her work and those few that she keeps near to her. |
